is one of the centres of traditional Irish music and has many pubs with regular traditional entertainment. The Willie Clancy Summer Music School attracts thousands of friends of traditional Irish music each year for one week in July and music in the streets andpubs never stops.

the sea borders the village on the N67, close to Milbown Malbay.Quilty is known for it's pier, seafield strand and the bell in the church - from the vessel Leon XIII which sank here in 1907 during a severe storm. The sailors were saved by locals.
