Doonbeg Golf Links Course is just 10 mins. away. But there are more golf courses for all tastes just around the corner, from Kilrush and Kilkee in the South to Spanish Point and Lahinch in the North! And Ballybunion in Co.Kerry can easily be reached by taking advantage of the short ferry trip across the Shannon!

Swimming & Surfing
Doughmore Strand with its waves rolling in from the Atlantic is a favourite spot for surfers from all over the world! Though Swimming itself is not possible here due to underwater currents, several beaches in the area closeby, in Kilrush, Doonbeg (White Strand), Spanish Point and more - some of them awarded with the European Blue Flag - offer enough choices for safe family entertainment

Fishing
The area has a lot to offer for the angler! Doonbeg River, well known for its wealth of trout and even salmon is in short walking distance from the house. Beach angling is possible at Doughmore Strand, rock fishing all along the Atlantic coast line. For further information look here.

Traditional Music
Pubs in Cooraclare and in the neighbouring villages have sessions here throughout the year! Guests are often very welcome to join in! The annual music festivals in Miltown Malbay (beginning of July) and in Kilrush (Mid August) attract thousands of visitors each year. Early booking for these events is strongly recommended!

Walking, Cycling, Riding
The quiet country roads of West Clare invite for walking, hiking and bicycling! Bicycles can be rented in Kilrush.
Horse riding is also a very popular sport in West Clare. Horses and Ponies can be rented locally!
