Location The cottage is lovely situated on an elevated location in a quiet and peaceful area overlooking the lovely West Clare landscape with the Shannon River in short distance beyond the field. The Killimer Shannon Car Ferry which is less than 10 minutes away links West Clare with Kerry, so all the
sights there are in easy reach. The historical market town of Kilrush can also be reached in less than 10 minutes. It features colorful shopfronts and has a little Marina from where you can catch a boat to see the early monastic settlements on Scattery Island at the Kilrush Marina or to take part in a dolphin watching excursion on the Shannon estuary... An outdoor adventure centre at the marina offers watersport courses
for youngsters of all ages. Kilrush also hosts the annual Eigse Mrs. Crotty Traditional Music Festival in August, attracting traditional music enthusiasts from all over the world for a long weekend of music and dance.

All the other sights along the West Coast of Clare - the seaside resort of Kilkee, Lahinch, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren region - as well as the town of Ennis, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and numerous
other attractions are all in easy driving distance.
