Golfers will be mostly be attracted from nearby Doonbeg Golf Course, but there are more fine courses in short driving distance. Doughmore is also well known for its excellent Surfing conditions. The 2km long beach is popular with walkers, riders and anglers as well. Safe swimming is possible on a variety of beaches in Doonbeg, Kilkee, Quilty and Spanish Point, among others.
