Moyne Cottage is in an elevated location 2 miles from Kilrush on the road to the Killimer Shannon Car Ferry. It has 3 bedrooms for up to 5 people and is ideal for families, even with small children - a cot and a high chair are provided. The entrance has a ramp for wheelchairs. The house has recently been renovated and is fully equipped to modern standards.

Safe parking for your vehicles is right in front of the house.

Near the cottage are some sheds and outhouses, partly still in use.
There's a view of the Shannon River from the lawn in front of the house, and from the back you can see the West Clare landscape.

Historic Kilrush with shops, pubs and restaurants is just 5 car minutes down the road.Blue Flag Cappa Strand is also just 5 minutes away. The Shannon here offers a variety of great shore angling possibilities . The owners of the cottage will be happy to show you the best spots to catch bass, dogfish and mackerel. Kilrush Marina has an outdoor activity centre and boats leave from the Marina to the Scattery Island Heritage Site and for Dolphin watching tours. But dolphins can also frequently be observed from the quiet coast roads along the Shannon. Nearby Vandaleur Walled Gardens and Forest offer a variety of walks and a visitor centre with cafeteria

The cottage is conveniently located close to the Killimer Shannon Car Ferry and therefore ideal not only to explore the sights of Clare as the Cliffs of Moher but also scenic County Kerry. Click on the links below to find out more about the area!
