Location
This remarkable landscape along the western seaboard of
Ireland is only interrupted occasionally by
traditional towns and villages dotted along
its coastline, such as:
Quilty,
a busy, seaside village with miles of safe
sandy beaches; Kilrush
is the principal town in West Clare. It has
a Marina and is a market town. Day trips are
available to Scattery Island with St. Senans
Oratory. The recently restored Vandeleur
walled gardens is a thriving tourist
attraction.
Doonbeg
home to the newly designed Greg Norman golf
course;
Kilkee,
with its popular sandy beach and aquapark 'Waterworld'
and
Miltown
Malbay
famous for the Willie Clancy Traditional
Irish Music Festival in July.
