 Clare's second largest town is a lively market town (farmers market each Saturday from 10-2 pm).
Eigse Mrs. Crotty Traditional Music Festival takes place here every August and attracts many people from the neighbourhood and from abroad to enjoy traditional music and dance in the pubs and on the streets.
Kilrush also hosts has a busy little marina. You can catch a boat there to Scattery Island with its outstanding collection of stone monuments from the 11th century onwards. Or join the Dolphin Watching Tour on the Shannon Estuary! The marina is also home of an Adventure Centre, offering all kinds of water activities - a great day out for all the family.



West Clare

Location
The house is at the road to/from Killimer in Kilrush - opposite Vandeleur Estate with its Walled Garden, Woodland Trails and Coffee Shop.



The Shannon River and Scattery Island are visible from the garden and from some rooms of the house.


The Shannon Car Ferry links Clare and Kerry and is also the shortest route to visit the Southwest of the country from here.  It is also convenient for visitors arriving at Kerry Airport and heading their way onto the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin the Burren Region and Connemara.
