Being
at the Shannon River and not far from
the Atlantic Ocean watersports and fishing
certainly play a major part in the many
activities possible here. Golfers find a
number of courses for all tastes in the
area and walkers & bicyclists enjoy
quiet country roads. The area is rich
in traditional music with daily
live music in the local pubs -
and the annual Eigse Mrs. Crotty Traditional
Music Festival, which takes place each year
in August..
